Quality time

Motherhood can be a surprisingly difficult affair. Many women underestimate the level of energy and efforts required to be a good mother. You cannot simply hope that your child will grow up on his or her own. If you have underestimated the level of effort required and have become overstressed, you should find ways to de-stress yourself.

Do you have sufficient energy? Are you physically fit? Being unfit is one reason why you are taking up so much of stress. Why don’t you try exercising regularly? If you feel you would not have time, have a word with your spouse and make sure if the child is taken care of for a few hours every day by the father.

This will give you time to go to the gym or take a brisk walk around the neighborhood. As fitness levels increase, you will find that the level of stress involved in parenting automatically comes down.

Being a mother 24 hours a day is not essential. You are an individual and have your own feelings and desires. Do not disregard them. Sacrificing everything to be a good mother is not going to work. Give yourself a few hours a day where you can do whatever you want. This is not very difficult to implement. Does not your husband enjoy free time after a tough day at work? Taking care of a child is not less stressful. From watching a movie to gossiping with your friends-give some time to yourself.

Follow your hobby. Try involving the child in your hobby. You will discover that a quality time doing something you like is a great stress busting exercise.

Motherhood is wonderful and it can be very stressful and tiring. So instead of getting her some chocolates or perfume or flowers, how about taking a look at the gifts intended just for moms that are designed to relax her and put her back on her feet.

A day or even a whole weekend away from it all can be a great way to make a mother feel special and relaxed. Massages, facials and the special treatment doesn’t have to be expensive either – just keep an eye on websites such as www.Offers.com which mean even the kids can treat their mom to a day off.

The same goes for gifts that keep on giving, which are also available on the deals website. These sorts of gifts include things like the back massage wrap, a massager that wraps around your back or neck like a blanket and heats up to relax tired muscles and soothe aches and pains.

Aromatherapy gifts are always well-received, as they give mom an excuse to pamper herself. Bath salts and oils mean she’ll be able to lock herself away in the bathroom for a relaxing dip, and scented candles are another option.

For some women, a gym membership can be the ideal gift. Many gyms have daycare centres attached so an hour’s workout can be a great time for a mom to have some time to herself and indulge in some physical activity that isn’t running around after the children.

Of course, breakfast in bed and a lazy weekend morning are sometimes the best way for a mom to recharge her batteries.

There has been a recent article in the news that made the statement in the effects that the annual cost that should be paid to mothers for all the things a mother provides is around $61,000 or more. Yes, it is true that the role of a mother is multifaceted as they are the family’s’ doctor and nurses, cook, seamstress, chauffeur, counselor, educator and more. The list can be endless dependant and each mother is unique and different, but the countless duties of a mother give her occupation a number one ranking above all others.

Moms who work either inside or outside of the home are constantly on the go with all the activities that go on within a family. There are family outings, baseball games, dance class practices, school, and more to prepare for. A great resource for the mother’s is the opportunity to purchase kids costumes for their children. Whether the need for the costume is a school play or event, or the stay at home mom who goes all out and wants to put on a show at home or just wants to play dress up with their youngster, this is a great way to get fantastic costumes.

Never under estimate the duties and responsibilities that come with being a mommy. More often then stay at home moms are given a bad label.  Most that haven’t been a parent before or don’t have the luxury or desire to be a stay at home mom again will never understand what stay at home moms do until they have traded places with a stay at home mom for about a week.  Most people have this image that all they do is watch soap operas all day long and eat bon bons.  I wish it were that easy.

Nothing in life comes easy and neither does the life of a stay at home mom.  Stay at home moms are on call twenty four seven.  They don’t get days off or are able to work a 9-5 job and come home and relax.  From the minute they wake up their day is filled with things to do.  Make breakfast, clean up breakfast, get the kids ready for school, send them to school, clean house, pay bills, do laundry, make lunch, clean up lunch, figure out dinner, make phone calls, change dirty diapers, feed the babies, entertain the babies, and the list goes on and on.  And guess what?  When the day is said and done it starts all over the following day.

Before becoming a mom I would highly suggest that you trade places with a friend or relative and care for their child to see what all is involved with becoming a parent.  After all it’s not for everyone.

Mother Your Best Friend

Mother is you best friend. They do everything for their children they teach them how to stat living. Mother is the first institution you start your life with her and she ends her life with you. She is always there for you whenever you need her. A relationship of a mother and a child is very different from any relation in the world. A mother can do anything for her children. She loves them to the core and shelters them from all cruelty of world. But once a child is grown he or she tends to forget the efforts made and leave their mother when she needs you the most.

Mothers are always forgiving they will forgive you for anything; this relationship stands above all relationships in the world. They help you stand on your legs and to become a successful person. She will be the happiest person to see her children succeed. She has been there for you whenever you needed her. After  women gives birth to her child her only aim is to live for her child and give him everything she can, disrespect of what she was before all her aims and goals in life become secondary and her priority is her child.

There are also women who are working mothers, hats off to them as they are excelling in their career and personal life as well. A family is build on love and trust a mother puts in a lot of effort but it is true that a father is also an essential part of the family without whom the life of a child is incomplete. No mother can fill shoes of a father.

Make Time for You

I have some bad news for you; you aren’t “Super-mom.” Maybe you’ve thought you are or maybe you’ve tried to be, but you really aren’t. Just like every other mom, you’ve got limits, and those limits keep you from doing everything you want to do. You need to rest; you need to get away from your kids from time to time; you need to relax.

Everyone needs time for themselves. Time to do things that you want to do, instead of always doing things you have to do. Without this time, nobody can maintain good balance, mental health, or their emotions under control.

Most women take the time that their children are outside playing, or taking a nap to do the things they have to do around the house. They look at it as a moment to run around the house, doing everything they need to do, without having the children interrupting them. Basically, they’re trying to make the best possible use of that time that they can.

However, I have to say that there’s probably a better use of that time. Instead of using it to do work that you can actually do when the children are there, why not use it for something that you can’t do when the children are there. In other words, use that time for you. Time to do the things you want to do, but can’t do with the children getting in the way. That might mean reading a book, checking your e-mail, or even taking a nap.

If you don’t have a hobby, maybe it’s time to start one. Hobbies are a great way of taking some time just for you. At the same time, maybe your hobby will accrue to some benefit for your family, but that shouldn’t be your goal. Your goal needs to be to have time for you, that way you can be better for your family. Get this straight in your mind, your hobby isn’t taking time away from your family, it’s taking time away so you can be a better wife and mother for your family. That’s what they need.

Working Moms Grooming Tips

Working mothers may have less time that they spend on themselves but there is an alarming trend that shows that most moms spend less and less time on themselves. With each passing year this number grows even higher. Simply put, moms are putting their children first at the expense of themselves. While your children indeed should come first, there is no reason why you can’t spend time on yourself as well and keep in mind that a mom that is well rested and groomed accordingly is a happier mom.

First of all, take some time out for yourself. It doesn’t matter what you do or when you do it but taking time to yourself is important to be able to grow mentally and meet the challenges of every day life. If you are constantly running yourself ragged you’re not able to get the stress relief that you need.

Take time to make yourself look good so that you feel good too. Women who are happy with their appearance and time spent looking good tend to be happier overall. Don’t let your skin care or make up regiment fall to the wayside just because you have children. Allow yourself the extra time it takes to take care of these things so that you will feel better about yourself and your overall lifestyle.

The next time you are feeling like you don’t have the time to take care of yourself picture some celebrity mom or someone you know that always looks polished and pretty. We all have the same amount of time in a day and if they can do it, you can too. Not every celebrity has a full time nanny or a hairdresser; they simply take the time to look good, knowing that it is important. It is just as important that you do the same thing.

Stress Relief For New Moms

Stay at home moms can find that stress is more of a factor than they may have thought possible. With having a new baby and the normal every day activities and tasks that have to be completed, it’s no wonder this can be a time of stress and a feeling of oversensitiveness. There are a few things that you can do to lessen the stress of being a new mom and especially a stay at home mom.

One thing to keep in mind is to get out of the house more. Just a walk to the park or to a market can make a world of difference on someone that is stressed out. Being confined in your home can make anyone feel frazzled, not to mention the added component of having a newborn. Take a walk, go shopping or just head out for some coffee; you’ll enjoy the fresh air and new outlook on things.

Go out with your friends. Think about the things you did before you had the baby and if you enjoyed lunch with your friends or going out with them then take a day to do that. That doesn’t mean you have to never be home with your baby but a once in a while outing won’t hurt anyone, including your child. Even if it’s for just a little while the camaraderie can really help your mood.

Make sure that you equal out everything that you do. Just because you have a new baby doesn’t mean your entire life revolves around your child. Balance out everything that you do so that you have equilibrium in your world and can focus on the important things in life. Just consider that you have a new life in your world but you can also focus on things that you enjoy to to as well.

Making It About You

Having a new baby can put a damper on how you treat yourself and this can cause you to become stressed and sometimes even resentful to your new baby. Even though you have a lot of responsibility with a newborn, it is imperative that you take time out for your own well being and focus on making sure you are taken care of as well.

While you may have less time to focus on yourself after having a baby, take time out of your busy day just for yourself. It doesn’t matter if it’s just for a few minutes; make it a habit to spend some time doing something you love or just getting away from all of the everyday challenges. If you work after you’ve had your baby take your lunch break to relax and regroup. You can go to a coffee shop and read a book or take a walk in the park to relax. If you are a stay at home mom this can be harder to accomplish but if your baby takes a nap at a certain time each day, plan your getaway at that time. This doesn’t mean you are to leave your baby alone but you can still take a nice long bath to soak away your problems or take the time to read a magazine or book. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as it is something that doesn’t focus on work, your baby or anyone else. Make it all about you for those few minutes per day and you’d be surprised at how well it helps you regroup and feel healthier and happier.

While your baby is the most important thing in your life, taking time to yourself helps you to be a healthier and happier mom and that means you can take care of your baby even better than before.
